WO Tony Good trained as a Wireless Operator/Air Gunner (WAG) at No. 3 WAG's School at Maryborough Qld and Evans Head NSW.  He attended some special Radio Schools in the UK.  He joined 459 RAAF Squadron on 19.3.1944 in the Middle East after completion of No. 14 Course at No. 75 RAF Operational Training Unit (O.T.U.) at Gianaclis, Egypt.

Always reticent about wartime experiences Tony decided in 1970 it was about time he joined his mates in the combined 454 and 459 RAAF Squadron's Association contingent in the Sydney Anzac Day March and the Reunion Luncheon afterwards.  Realising the cathartic benefit of talking over wartime experiences with this former mates he became a regular until 1998.

In "civvies" he worked in the Textile industry, then studied Accountancy and joined Qantas until retirement in 1978 as a Supervisor in the Revenue Department.

As a former North Bondi Life Saving Club member his lifelong interest in swimming saw him make a very significant contribution as a swimming teacher and coach with school and R.S.L. Club groups.  St Patrick's College pool at Strathfield is named the "A.E. Good Swimming Pool".  He died on 3.8.98 aged 80 years.
